It's that time of year again! Virginia's Tax Free Weekend begins today and runs through August 9th.
Virginians can get 5.3% off qualifying purchases of the following:
- School supplies that are $20 or less per item.
- Clothing and shoes that are $100 or less per item.
- Hurricane preparedness items including phone chargers and batteries priced $60 or less.
- Energy Star or WaterSense appliances that are $2,500 or less per item.
The following are excluded:
- Handbags, briefcases and wallets.
- Barrettes, hair bows and hair nets.
- Jewelry, watches and sunglasses.
Tax free items do not need to be purchased in store. They can be made online, over the phone, or by mail.
