If you have ever wondered what the polar opposite of "Tom" is, apparently it's "Chet." At least that seems to be how it's going in the Hanks family.
Actor and musician Chet Hanks, son of celebrity couple Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, who had both contracted COVID-19 and were hospitalized very early on during the emergence of the pandemic while in Australia, is speaking out against vaccinations in a new shirtless and rambling Instagram post.

After apparently waking up and choosing chaos, as he says in the video post's caption, the "White Boy Summer" rapper doubled down on a previous post where he first seemed to be urging his followers to follow science and get vaccinated, before going on a rant about COVID being like the flu. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. I never had COVID. Y’all ain’t sticking me with that motherf***ing needle,” he said. “It’s the motherf***ing flu. Get over it, OK?”
In his latest communication, responding to the panning he received prior, Chet says, "OK, I’m gonna keep this real simple for you guys. Real simple. OK. Just like you have the right to be mad at me because I said I’m not going to get the vaccine... I have the right to not get that s***." Believing that his immune system speaks to him and has told him it is strong enough without a jab, Chet adds, "I wanted to [get the vaccine], but my immune system said, ‘it’s good.’ OK. It doesn’t need to be tampered with it said, ‘it’s good.'"
Brace yourselves, here's where talk about shampoo, government conspiracies, and flying saucers make an appearance: “OK, let’s be real," Chet says. "99 percent of your motherf***ers wouldn’t use a shampoo that’s not FDA approved but you’re willing to get some experimental government injection. OK, there’s more evidence for UFOs being real than that vaccine being healthy for you.” Right.
Just a quick reminder, as the highly contagious Delta variant continues to spread: Chet's parents Tom and Rita are much wiser in the workings of the pandemic and its effects on the human body than their son, and have been huge proponents of masking and vaccinations. They also curse a heck of a lot less in public and usually wear a lot more clothing when on camera.
