Being a hype man certainly isn’t easy work, but Flavor Flav sure makes it seem like it comes as naturally as breathing to him. So, it’s a good thing he’s in town at the Paris Olympics rooting for the United States as only he can.

Before going all-in for Red Lobster and coming in clutch for the struggling chain by bringing his entire family in for a massive meal, Flav threw his unwavering support behind the U.S. female water polo team, becoming their official booster at the 2024 games along with the rest of the teams from the States currently competing overseas.
“Everybody wants to feel like like they got their back covered like somebody has their back, you know what I'm saying? And when they feel that it makes them feel more powerful, it makes them feel more better,” Flav explained during a recent panel during the 2024 Olympics.
“Yeaaaaaah Boooy! KROQ in L.A. What more can I say? Right here in Paris, GO USA!” Flav began his call with KROQ's Klein.Ally.Show, proving once again he’s got the skills to pay the bills. “Paris is treating me lovely, man. It is the best right now… I'm having a great, great first-time experience of my life. I've never ever been to an Olympics before, and now I get a chance to be here for my first time ever. It's been great.”
Luckily, Flav also gets to take some time away from all of the action to be with his family, who all joined him for the trip. “We're at an Airbnb… I rented a car, and we are getting around the town, baby,” he says.
Flavor Flav has been tapped to be the official hype man for the U.S. female water polo team for the next five years, which means not only do we get to see him pumping up Paris, but fans will get to see him again in Los Angeles four years from now.
“Hey, I'm gonna be in L.A. for the handoff,” Flav revealed. “Yo, ho ho. Hey, we're working on it. We're working on letting me do the torch, man. They're trying to work on it right now for me to carry the torch on this, on the send-off.”
Bringing it back to the current games, Flav says, “Hey, check this out. We got three gold medals right now, back-to-back. We going for number four this year, you know, so that's why I'm over here to hype up the girls and I'm trying to push them into getting that gold medal.”
“All y'all gotta do is just one thing, and it involves two words,” Flav says. “It's called stay tuned.”
