The king of Bayside High is back.
Actor Mark-Paul Gosselaar has closed a deal with NBC's new streaming service Peacock to return as Zach Morris for the ‘Saved By The Bell’ reboot. He joins original cast members Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley for the upcoming revival series.
Mark-Paul Gosselaar will not only star in the ‘Saved By The Bell’ reboot, but will also serve as a producer. Gosselaar is currently a series regular on ABC's ‘Mixed-ish’; due to prior commitments he will only appear in three episodes of the new reboot.
The new series is set to revolve around Zach Morris being the governor of California. Morris gets himself into hot water after closing too many low-income high schools and proposes the affected students be sent to the highest-performing schools in the state — including Bayside High.
The ‘Saved By The Bell’ reboot will premiere on Peacock later this year.
