With people around the world remaining in quarantine, many are looking for any positive sign that things could soon change for the better. For those hoping that the month of May could be when things finally start to turn that sign seems to have arrived, and did so in the form of asparagus.
Jemima Packington, a self-proclaimed "asparamancer," claims to be able to predict the future using asparagus. The asparagus fortune-teller from England recently appeared in British television with a prediction about the coronavirus. According to Packington, the asparagus "indicate there is really great, good news on the way for us all this month."
While some may question Packington's methods, she had correctly predicted a number of occurrences in the past including Brexit and England's recent Cricket World Cup win. Speaking on her methods, the asparamancer said, "You cast asparagus, you don't toss it, and the asparagus create patterns when they are cast on a flat surface, and then from the patterns that are created I am able to make predictions." Some may question her prediction, but most can only hope she is correct.
