Safari parks can be pretty scary, as wild animals are able to walk right up to people, with only a vehicle separating them. While the majority of the times people are safe on these adventures, a safari park in England has had things ramped up recently. Baboons at the Knowsley Safari Park have been spotted holding weapons, and the staff isn’t quite sure what to do.

The baboons at the Knowsley Safari Park are already known for their destructive behavior, but now as some have spotted some of the animals holding weapons, the park staff is concerned for attendants’ safety. “We're not sure if they are being given weapons by some of the guests who want to see them attack cars, or if they're fishing them out of pick-up trucks and vans,” said an employee. The baboons have been seen with knives, screwdrivers and even a chainsaw.

The park believes either guests are doing this for “a laugh,” or the baboons are actually stealing these items from vehicles. Of course, not everyone believes these animals are using weapons, as some from the park believe the story may have “grown in exaggeration.” Either way, baboons with weapons may be enough to bring some new customers in.
