People are always looking for ways to make extra money, but usually low effort activities with cash rewards are hard to come by. Luckily, an internet company is now offering a “dream job” for many that pays $1,000 to play Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Already 12,000 have applied in just a few days.
HighSpeedInternet.com’s new job posting may be a bit of a publicity stunt, but that doesn’t mean someone will walk away with a chance at $1,000. The person who is selected has to play 50 hours of the game to earn the reward, and must have their own Nintendo Switch and copy of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The company made a similar offer last year for people to play Fortnite.

You don't have to be a professional gamer," said staff researcher Victoria Merinda. For those already playing that much Animal Crossing, they might as well try and make some money while playing.
