For many people, their morning can’t get started until they’ve had their first cup of coffee. That means skipping breakfast completely for many coffee drinkers, as they use the caffeine burst to energize their morning efforts. Now, Dunkin’ has come up with a way to combine the need for breakfast and coffee, as they’ve released two new caffeinated cereals.
Dunkin’ teamed up with Post Cereals to create their latest product; caffeinated coffee-flavored cereal. The cereals come in two different flavors; Caramel Macchiato and Mocha Latte. The Caramel Macchiato includes crunchy cereal pieces with caramel-swirled marshmallows, and the Mocha Latte comes with crunchy cereal pieces with a mix of chocolate- and latte-swirled marshmallows.
Of course, Dunkin’ wanted to make sure the morning cup of coffee wasn’t cut out completely, as each bowl of cereal is estimated to have about 10 milligrams of caffeine. “Getting the flavor right on our new cereals was a top priority, and we think we’ve nailed the rich, smooth and creamy taste,” said Josh Jans, Post's brand manager of cereal partnerships. While it may not eliminate the need for coffee, now coffee drinkers have another source to kick start their morning.
