The beloved cartoons that make up the Gorillaz are back with a new song and video as part of their recent ‘Song Machine’ series. After releasing two previous songs in 2020, the group released yet another track this week. The new song, ‘Aries,’ is a collaboration between the Gorillaz, Peter Hook and Georgia.
On Thursday, fans of the Gorillaz were surprised with the latest episode of the band’s ‘Song Machine’ video series. In the latest video, bassist Murdoc goes on a journey with singer 2D, but an old grudge between the two rivals quickly creates issue. Guitarist, Noodle, said of the new song, “Highly impatient and competitive, many Aries have the fighting spirit of your mythological ruler.”
Earlier in the year, The Gorillaz released ‘Momentary Bliss’ and ‘Désolé’ as part of the video series. The Gorillaz’ video series sees the cartoon group releasing tracks “as and when they happen.” With now three episodes of the series released, it seems more cartoon adventures from the group are still on the way.
