While many gyms are beginning to reopen around the country, some customers are looking for new ways to exercise while remaining socially distanced. As businesses look for new ways to attract customers, some have turned to creating personal bubbles for people to do activities in. Now, the pod concept has reached the exercise community, as hot yoga domes give people the chance to work out in their own personal bubble.
At a recent pop up event in Toronto, many showed up to try out the new hot yoga domes. These domes are 7 feet tall and 12 feet wide clear bubbles with a built in heating system. After each hot yoga class, the domes were cleaned and sanitized by a certified cleaner. The event is currently running through July 31.
“Everybody’s been really cooped up for the last few months and haven’t been able to go out. [This> allows us to do this in a safe and responsible way, where people get to enjoy … a group fitness activity in a private environment,” said event organizer Steve Georgiev. With the popularity of this event growing, it’s only a matter of time before hot yoga domes become the official post quarantine fitness trend.
