With many musicians currently stuck at home, there has been plenty of new music released recently. As artists remain quarantined, plenty of previously unheard music, new releases, live performances, and collaboration have been released for fans to enjoy while stuck at home as well. Now, Jimmy Eat World has released a new cover song they performed recently with Best Coast’s Bethany Cosentino.
With plenty of tours currently on hiatus, bands like Jimmy Eat World have taken to livestreaming to perform for their fans during the coronavirus pandemic. Last month, on what would have been Record Store Day, the band took part in a livestream event, where they first performed a cover of the Crooked Fingers song, ‘Call To Love, with Bethany Cosentino. “I thought I’d take advantage of the fact that this isn’t live, and invite some other people to play with me,” frontman Jim Adkins said during the event.
Now, Jimmy Eat World and the Cosentino have collaborated once again, officially releasing the song they covered last month. It is unknown if more new music from the two, or separately is on the way. After this track though, fans can only hope the two get together again.
