Thanks to the popularity of the Netflix docuseries, 'Tiger King,' many fans want to see the show's star, Joe Exotic, get out of prison. While many fans have signed petitions online to try and help free Exotic, one former colleague says that's not a good idea. Exotic's former television producer, Rick Kirkham, recently said his former boss "is evil" and will seek revenge if ever let out of prison.
Joe Exotic, real name Joseph Maldonado-Passage, is currently serving a 22 year sentence for plotting to kill his rival Carole Baskin. Exotic has been attempting to get out, even writing a letter to the President asking for a pardon, and some fans have even joined in on his fight to be freed. However, Rick Kirkham, who had a close personal relationship with Exotic, warns against helping him, saying "This is a guy that holds a grudge and he will get his revenge."
The Netflix series has helped make stars out of its characters, and while Kirkham has spoken to media since the film's release, he warns about giving Joe Exotic the same treatment. While Exotic likely won't be pardoned any time soon, Kirkham wants to make sure people know it's probably not the best idea.
