When ordering chicken wings, customers are often asked if they would prefer traditional or boneless wings. While some prefer to eat the chicken without dealing with the bone, true chicken wing enthusiasts will argue these are not actually chicken wings. Now, a man has gone viral after going to his local city council meeting in order to plead the case for “boneless chicken wings” to be renamed.
Andrew Christensen of Lincoln, Nebraska recently gave a passionate speech on the true definition of what many refer to as boneless chicken wings. “Lincoln has the opportunity to be a social leader in this country. We have been casually ignoring a problem that has gotten so out of control that our children are throwing around names and words, without understanding their true meaning, and treating things as though they’re normal,” said Christensen in his intense two minute speech about chicken wings.
While Christensen didn’t have a definitive answer for what the new name should be, he did give some suggestions. “We can call them Buffalo-style chicken tenders. We can call them wet tenders. We can call them saucy nugs, or trash.” Said Christensen. While there may be more important issues, this is one everyone can agree on.
