With some restaurants still closed, plenty of people have that one restaurant they can’t wait to visit once quarantine is over. For one man in England, that restaurant was McDonalds, and when one near him reopened he quickly hit the road to get there. Only problem was he was so excited, he got pulled over driving 130 MPH to get there.
McDonald’s in the UK recently reopened their drive-they windows as lockdowns were lifted, and for one man that meant making the 42 miles journey to get to his nearest location. Though a long journey, the man was determined to get there; so much so that he was pulled over for driving over twice the speed limit. “Seized in Huddersfield for no insurance after caught traveling at 136 mph on the M62. Driver on his way from Bolton to Bradford for a burger,” the Yorkshire police tweeted.
The incident quickly went viral as some understood the need for the beloved fast food chain, while others couldn’t believe the effort put in to get McDonald’s. It is unknown if the man was able to get his McDonald’s afterwards.
