With people around the world stuck at home, the attire people wear on a daily basis has definitely changed. While some have enjoyed the idea of wearing the same clothes for days in a row, others have struggled not trying to constantly look their best. This has led to a new viral trend that has seen people getting dressed up to take the garbage out.
The trend started when a Danielle Askew, a kindergarten teacher from Australia, started the Facebook group, Bin Isolation Outing. The group has over 800,000 members and sees hundreds of photos a day of people dressed up while taking out the trash. “"The concept has taken off because people are social beings and because we're isolated away from everyone, this is a great way that we're able to reach out to mankind, make friends, have a laugh, and still stay sane while we are isolated," said Askew.
While some have dressed in suits and dresses, others have taken things further with costumes, and even wedding dresses. Other groups have been started, and now people across the globe have joined in on the ritual. If this keeps going, getting dressed up to take out the trash may even become a post quarantine tradition.
