When Reese’s first introduced Reese’s Puff cereal, many wondered who would want the chocolate and peanut butter combination firs thing in the morning. Now, after years of success with breakfast, the candy company is launching a new morning snack. Hershey recently announced a new Reese’s snack cake, being billed as a midmorning snack.
The new snack cake, similar to coffee cake, is set to hit stores in December. “We wanted to create the perfect treat for Reese’s fans to satisfy that midmorning sweet tooth. We know that sometimes you just don’t want to wait until lunch – that’s how Reese’s Snack Cakes were born!” said snacks brand manager Mike Orr.
The snack cakes will come two to a pack, and cost $1.99. With a number of other brands expanding to breakfast, Reese’s is the latest hoping to find morning success. While some may complain about eating sweets that early, most can’t help but want chocolate and peanut butter at all hours of the day.
