When it comes to state fairs, regardless of where it is, all anyone really comes for is the massive amounts of fried food. With many future events still up in the air, due to the coronavirus, Stark County in Ohio decided to figure out a way to get people the fried goods they desire. Fair organizers are now encouraging attendees to come eat fair food, without having to leave their car.
With a set date in August, the Stark County fair wasn’t sure if they’d be able to hold their annual event this year. With questions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic remaining, fair organizers decided to get creative, by setting up drive thru locations throughout the fairgrounds so attendees can still visit their favorite venders. This is idea was thought up in order to “help support Ohio small business.”
While attendees will be able to get their favorite fair cuisine when the fairgrounds open, fair organizers are stressing all food is to be taken to go. It may not be the normal state fair they were expecting, but at least attendees will still get to eat funnel cakes and turkey legs.
