With people around the world stuck in quarantine, many have begun to tire of the surroundings they chose to remain isolated in. For some, even their dream home can get old while staying inside all day, but for one doctor in Texas, his quarantine space remains interesting. The ER doctor in Corpus Christi has gone viral as he has been staying in his home’s backyard tree house in order to stay away from family.

As far as places to quarantine, it doesn’t get much better than a tree house, but for Dr. Jason Barnes it was more about safety than anything. His backyard tree house has become his temporary home in order to protect his family from the coronavirus. “They’re within yelling distance, but I can call or go up to the glass. They know not to open the door and risk catching something,” said Barnes.

Of course, the tree house is usually used by Barnes’ six and nine year old sons. “They love that thing, but they understand, so they’re not missing the treehouse, per se,” said Barnes. While safety is the main reason for his stay in the tree house, at least it’s creating some fun for the doctor, while he is separated from his family.
