Everyone currently stuck in quarantine has something to complain about, but for seniors in high school it’s the graduation moment they were supposed to remember forever that the pandemic has robbed them of. That’s why one principal in Texas decided to go out of his way to do something special for his students. He drove 800 in 12 days in order to personally congratulate each graduating senior.

Virdie Montgomery, principal at Wylie High School, had a total of 612 graduating seniors from this year’s class, and he made sure to personally congratulate each one of them, even if there wasn’t an official graduation ceremony. Montgomery gave each student a note that read, “I am so sorry that this has happened. I can't believe I've not gotten to meet with you and watch you finish this year and all the things you were involved. I am honored to be your principal.”

The students seemed to appreciate the gesture, which included a candy bar and a note that said “one day, we'll look back at this, and Snicker.” Quarantine may have prevented these students form having a graduation ceremony, but their principal made sure it was a moment they wouldn’t forget.
