With many businesses discovering their new normal, one industry has seemingly found a way to keep customers entertained at a safe distance. While many thought strip clubs would take a big hit due to the coronavirus, clubs around the country have reopened with social distancing guidelines in place. Now, Texas officially has its first drive-thru strip club, as a Houston strip club reopened recently allowing customers to view dancers from their car.
Vivid Gentleman’s Club in Houston reopened recently, becoming the state’s first drive-thru strip club option. They set up a tent outside the club where customers can park their car and watch for a two song limit. Of course, the drive-thru is also offering food as customers can order items off the menu such as; nachos, burgers, chicken sandwiches, jalapeno poppers and an “authentic Italian” pizza.
The clubs manager, Gino DiLollo, says the dancers are a form of distraction as customers wait for their food. “We racked the numbers and thought ‘should we do it?’ and realized that if we do it, we’re doing it for the entertainers, the staff and employees,” said DiLollo. It may not be the preferred way to go to a strip club, but the club knows some just need a reason to get out of the house.
