There are many attractions throughout Texas that bring visitors to the Lone Star state, but according to a recent poll, one of the most well-known may also be the most overrated. According to the poll, The Alamo was voted the most overrated attraction in the state. The now viral map shows the choices for most overrated attraction in all 50 states.
The recent poll, done by Instagram user Matt Shirley, used his 400,000 followers to help find the most overrated attraction in each state. "This map is made from answers from a poll on my IG story. I took the most popular answers and slapped them on a map, so don’t blame me," said Shirley. According to the poll, a number of popular attractions made the list, including the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas.
Some other well-known attractions that made the list include; Hollywood, the Grand Canyon, Times Square and Disney. Of course, some of the attractions were shocking just based on what they are, such as; The Gum Wall and the Biggest Ball of Twine. While these attractions may not be happy to make this list, at least most will forget by the time the next state by state poll goes viral.
