For most thrill seekers, roller coasters and amusement park rides are nothing to be scared of. However, a new swing ride that debuted in China this week has even the bravest thinking twice. The “king of all swings” is the tallest swing ever at 30 stories high, and it sits on the edge of a 2,300ft cliff.

The viral swing opened to visitors for the first time this week, and the ride looks as terrifying as it sounds. Riders are strapped in horizontally with a harness, and launched over the scenic cliff at a speed of 80mph. The swing is located at the Yunyang Longgang Scenic Spot in south-western China's Chongqing.

The massive swing has been certified by the Guinness World Records as the 'tallest swing frame' on earth. It is not the only strange piece of giant architecture in the city, as Chongqing is also home to an enormous rocking chair that faces a 1,000ft cliff. This new ride seems scary enough to make even the toughest let out a scream.
