When it comes to naming a metal band, normally the more disturbing the title the better. With the coronavirus becoming a global issue, it was only a matter of time before a metal band took advantage of the pandemic. Now, two different metal bands have taken on the name of “COVID-19.”
There are many frightening names throughout Metal music, but with many people currently in fear of the coronavirus, there is probably no more disturbing name for a band than “COVID-19.” One of the bands, who come from Brazil, released their debut EP, ‘When the Traditional Margarine Commercial Family Dies,’ back in march. The other group, coming from Russia, has already released two EP’s under their new name.
While both bands may not currently be able to perform live under their recently developed titles, they are hoping the name helps them gain some recognition. If anything it will definitely give them a frightening name to describe their music moving forward.
