
As many Green Day fans already know, Billie Joe Armstrong and Mike Dirnt have another band called ‘The Coverups.’ The Coverups are a cover bad, and while they don’t pop up very often, they recently played a surprise show at block party in Oakland, California.
Billie Joe Armstrong and Mike Dirnt showed up to the 40th street block party in Oakland, and surprised those in attendance with an hour long set. ‘The Coverups played a total of 19 cover songs, and were joined on stage by some friends. The setlist included songs by Nirvana, David Bowie and Misfits, among others.
It was a special show for those in attendance at the block party. The surprise set by The Coverups shocked many, but by the looks of it, everyone was having a good time. Check out The Coverups full set list below.
