Tom DeLonge has become quite the Alien expert since switching his focus form music to extra-terrestrials. Now, the former Blink-182 member is weighing in on alien music preference. While discussing his History Channel series, ‘Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation,’ DeLonge answered the question in everyone’s mind; would aliens prefer Blink-182 or Angels & Airwaves?

The founding member of Blink-182, along with his partner, Luis Elizondo, sat down to discuss their series ahead of its British premiere. While most of the discussion focused on Elizondo, and his credentials as a former government official, Tom DeLonge was happy to speak on aliens and their music preference.

When asked which of DeLonge’s bands, extra-terrestrials would prefer, DeLonge stated, “I would have to play Angels & Airwaves because they would recognize the space-prog sound. If I played Blink they wouldn’t get the jokes. They would probably get really offended and start an interplanetary war.”

Finally, the answer the world has bene looking for; aliens prefer Angels & Airwaves, but mostly because they wouldn’t understand the humor behind Blink-182. Aliens may be of higher intelligence, but when it comes to understanding the beauty behind Blink-182’s music, humans clearly have the upper hand.
