Song lyrics can be extremely meaningful and important to music lovers. When one is feeling down, sometimes a song is all they need to pick them up. That’s what happened recently in Orlando, Florida when a healthcare worker helped a suicidal man using lyrics to the Linkin Park song ‘One More Light.’

According to reports, Cristina Settanni was driving when she noticed a man sitting on an overpass. She decided to stop and help the man saying “I’ve been where he is. He needed someone to show they cared.” Using the lyrics to Linkin Park’s ‘One More Light’ Settanni was able to convince the man not to jump.

Cristina Settanni sat next to the man, whose identity has been kept private. There she recited the lyrics “Who cares if one more light goes out? Well, I do.” Police eventually arrived and pulled the man away to his safety.

After the passing of Linkin Park’s Chester Benington, many fans have used their lyrics to help themselves or others. While the man was dealing with family problems, the lyrics to ‘One More Light’ made him cry and eventually rethink things. Thanks to Linkin Park and Cristina Settanni the man’s life was saved.
