At the 61st Grammy Awards Sunday night, Cardi B scored a huge win for Rap Album of the Year, the first time the award has been won by a solo female artist.
In honor of her huge win, Cardi b received a huge myriad of gifts and presents, including an extravagant flower arrangement. The card attached featured a lyric from the late Tom Petty, though Cardi B mistakenly thought Petty had sent the flowers himself, even though he died in 2017.
Cardi said in her Instagram story, “Thank you, Tom Petty, for the flowers. I left the room, but, um, the flowers were very big. I want to say thank you so much, and this is such a beautiful note. Motherf***ers love me, bro.”
The card featured a line from the 1966 song “Walls (Circus)” that read, “You’ve got a big heart. So big it could crush this town.”
