The Texas Rangers will retire Michael Young's No. 10 prior to their game against the Seattle Mariners on August 31, the club announced Tuesday.
He will join Nolan Ryan, Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez, Johnny Oates, and Adrian Beltre as the only Rangers to have their jersey number retired.
Michael played 13 seasons with the Rangers - more than 1800 games - and re-joined the team four years ago as Special Assistant to the General Manager.
A great man who brought us great joy. No Texas Ranger will wear #10 again.
