It seems Texans’ love for their state has finally rubbed off on the rest of the country, as people continue to move to the Lone Star state in masses. Thanks to cost of living, career opportunity and so much more, many continue to find reasons to move to Texas. Now, a new study has named four DFW cities on their list of the top 10 housing markets in the United States, with one taking the top spot on the list.
According to the recent study conducted by WalletHub; Frisco, Texas currently has the hottest housing market in the country. Also making the top 10 were; McKinney at four, Denton at five, and Allen landing the number six spot. The only other city in Texas to make the list was Austin, which was ranked second right behind Frisco.
“Demand for single-family homes has risen and supply has lagged since the second half of last year,” said Norada Real Estate Investments. According to Dallas Culture Map, these rankings were based on comparisons of 300 cities across 18 key metrics, such as appreciation of median home price and job growth. At this rate, by next year the entire top 10 list will be cities in Texas.
