Fruit Stripe Gum is no more.  The makers of the popular chewing gum have announced that after a 55-year run, the product is being discontinued.

In the time it took you to read that sentence that piece of Fruit Strip you’re chewing has already lost its flavor.

Per Food & Wine, Fruit Stripe came was originally launched in 1969 by the Beech-Nut company, which now primarily produces baby and toddler food, and came in five different flavors: Wet n' Wild Melon, Cherry, Lemon, Orange, and Peach.

As with most discontinued products, there’s been a mad influx of Fruit Stripe appearing on eBay, with some cases of the gum selling for as high as $200.
