It has been quite some time since wrestling legend Kevin Von Erich has been seen out in public. However, with a new biopic about the DFW icon starring Zac Efron set to premiere later this year, the head of the iconic Von Erich wrestling family is set to make an appearance in North Texas later this year. Von Erich will star in a one man show titled ‘Stories From the Top Rope’ about hi9s life and career.
It has been over two decades since Kevin Von Erich’s last public appearance, but that streak will come to an end September 1 when he performs at the Majestic Theater in Dallas. The show will be hosted by another DFW legend, Dale Hansen. According to Wrestling News, Von Erich will share insight into his career, personal triumphs and tragedies.
Tickets for the event go on sale May 5, but fans can pre order their tickets starting May 3 with the promo code “HOGWASH.” For fans that don’t want to wait to see the film about his life, this event may be even better.
