Movie theaters are always looking for new ways to improve the movie viewing experience. Some theaters serve food and drinks, while others focus on at-home style comfort in the theater. However, moviegoers in Austin recently got a new viewing experience as they got to watch ‘The Batman’ with a live bat flying around the theater.
The long awaited debut of ‘The Batman’ finally occurred over the weekend, and while many viewers are already breaking down what they saw in the film, those that recently saw the film at a theater in Austin are more interested in what happened while they were trying to watch the movie. According to UPROXX, someone brought a live bat in the theater as a prank, and let it loose to fly around as the movie played. “Local animal control was immediately contacted, and they have been overseeing the situation to ensure guest, associate and animal safety,” said Heidi Deno, the general manager for Moviehouse & Eatery.

While guests were offered refunds, many stayed to watch the movie, even with a live bat in the theater. Maybe the movie inspired them to be one with the bat. If anything, we now know where to find the next Batman.
