Living with a roommate can be difficult at times, as spending that much time with even one’s closest friend can be extremely frustrating. Sometimes that frustration boils over, leading to arguments over something that in most cases would seem miniscule. That’s exactly what happened in one DFW home recently, as a man was arrested after an argument with his roommate over what mosquitoes look like led to a fight.

Dallas police received a call recently after a fight broke out inside a home at the 1500 block of Cape Cod Drive, near East Kiest Boulevard and South Lancaster Road. When police arrived they found one of the roommates standing outside with his face bloodied, and the other sitting on his bed in the men’s shared room with blood on his head and hand. According to Dallas Morning News, the two roommates got into a fight after an argument over what a mosquito looks like escalated quickly.

One of the roommates grabbed a stick from behind his bed and started hitting him on the head with it. In response, the other roommate grabbed a metal bat from his closet and hit the other multiple times in the head. The roommate that initiated the fight admitted to police that he started the altercation and was arrested. At least the roommates are now getting some much needed time apart.
