We can probably think of a million places we'd rather break in and try to steal from than a jail. But that was not the concern of this man in Battle Creek, Michigan.
He decided the best way to score some quick cash was to break into the Calhoun County jail and try and steal from the ATM the jail had in its lobby!
What would we do without stupid criminals to keep us entertained?
Maybe the man didn't realize that jails are usually staffed 24 hours, but needless to say he was apprehended pretty quick. The police found a knife on the 26-year-old, which authorities are unsure of if it was meant to defend himself or aid his attempt to break into the ATM.
According to WWMT, the would-be-thief quickly surrendered to the cops, at which point he was escorted promptly to a cell, which conveniently for everybody was right down the hall.
