Over the last few years, a number of new developments in Texas have featured a crystal lagoon to entice new residents. While these large bodies of water haven’t quite taken over the popularity of lakes in the Lone Star state, more and more continue to pop up throughout the state. Now, the largest crystal lagoon in Texas has given people another reason to join their movement; floating cabanas.
Lagoonfest Texas, located in Texas City near Galveston, recently went viral after sharing photos of their new floating cabanas. Known as “aquabanas,” the new floating cabanas give people all the joy of poolside fun, while also getting to experience the water on a hot day. According to Dallas Culture Map, the cabanas are large enough to accommodate 12 guests at a time.
Since being shared, photos of the new floating cabanas have received tens of thousands of views and several hundred comments. Many online are now planning a Texas vacation in hopes of getting to relax in one of these floating cabanas. The new “aquabanas” are yet another thing bringing people to Texas in droves.
