Most companies who assign email addresses for their employees with generally use the first initial of their first name, and their full last name. So if you're name is Rick Smith and you get hired at "Company," your email would be RSmith@company.com Simple enough.
Unfortunately, a woman has gone viral for a TikTok where she explains that HR officials at her jobs always have to change or alter her email addresses because of her very unfortunate initials.
Dare we say, her initials are pretty "crappy."
Samantha Hart says it's always awkward when she gets an email address for a new job, because based on the criteria mentioned previously, her email would be SHart@company.com.
Shart. Now, for those of you unaware, a "shart" is an act where one tries to expel a little gas, and unfortunately a little extra comes out. Not fun when it happens to you. Hilarious when it happens to someone else, but it doesn't do well as a professional email.
According to the video, Samantha says she's had two jobs before where this has been an issue, and she's about to begin another where she worries more problems will arise.
Many people with unfortunate initials commented on the video as well, lamenting how they've faced similar difficulties.
Some of these folks included: Tamsin Rash, Allie Holle, and Paul Enis.
