People reports that on the day White passed, December 31, 2021, Saget posted a long, loving tribute to the “Golden Girls” star on Instagram.

After first praising White – “Razor sharp wit, smart, kind, hilarious, sincere, and so full of love” – Saget dropped a nice little story about seeing “The Mary Tyler Moore” show as a teen, and how that was the beginning of a lifelong friendship.

“From the first time I snuck into “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” at 15 years old," wrote the "Full House" alum, "and watched her hit everything she said out of the park, to decades later, getting to hang out with her on several occasions, I had a small peek into what a remarkable talent and human being Betty was.”

He also made a reference to the love of her life, Allen Ludden -- reportedly the last word White uttered before she passed.

"She always said the love of her life was her husband, Allen Ludden, who she lost in 1981," said Saget. "Well, if things work out by Betty's design -- in the afterlife, they are reunited. I don't know what happens when we die, but if Betty says you get to be with the love of your life, then I happily defer to Betty on this."

Recently, Saget was back out on the comedy club trail. Less than 24 hours before his death, he sent out his final tweet after getting back from a standup gig in Jacksonville, Florida. The tweet read in part, "I had no idea I did a 2 hr set tonight. I'm happily addicted again to this s---."

Saget, who was best known for his role as Danny Tanner on “Full House,” died on Sunday in Orlando, Florida. He was 65.

Saget was also known for appearing in "Entourage," "Shameless," and serving as the narrator for "How I Met Your Mother." and host of "America's Funniest Home Videos."

He is survived by his wife, Kelly Rizzo, and three children, Aubrey, Jennifer Belle, and Lara Melanie Saget.
