High-speed car chases, nail-biting explosions, and now, prehistoric dinosaurs?

Earlier this week,"Fast & Furious" film director Justin Lin hinted at the possibility of a future crossover with "Jurassic World," reported CNET.

"Well, I've never said never to anything," Lin said at a virtual press conference on whether the two franchises could join forces. "And the fact that part of our philosophy is not to ever be boxed in or labeled. And that's all I will say."

On Wednesday, Universal Studios released a new trailer for the latest "Fast & Furious" movie, "F9," that includes all of the action that viewers love.

The movie stars popular Hollywood faces including Vin Diesel, Charlize Theron, and John Cena.

Universal is home to both "Fast & Furious" and the "Jurassic Park" franchises. Actress Michelle Rodriguez, who plays Letty in the car action series, said she can see the merge working.

"Once you reach a certain pinnacle, there's nowhere to go but to cross brand and merge, it's what big corporations do with each other when they get too big, you know what I mean?" she said.

"You just have to brand and merge with each other. But the only thing standing in the way is lawyers and studios. Because, usually the brands that you're trying to merge belong to different studios or whatever. But it's under the same umbrella. I don't know. I'm just saying. It works."

"F9" was initially scheduled to be released in 2020, but was pushed back to June 25, 2021 due to coronavirus-related delays.

Meanwhile, the sixth film in the "Jurassic Park" franchise, "Jurassic World: Dominion," is scheduled for a theatrical release on June 10, 2022.
