Surprise, surprise: The internet has come up with another viral animal gem.

In a scene fit for any "Madagascar," "Dr. Dolittle," or "A Bugs Life"-esque movie, a recent act of heroism from a brave farm animal has gone viral.
In this latest YouTube wonder, a chicken is captured on CCTV being attacked by a hawk on a farm in Gelderland, the Netherlands. A rooster then attempts to come to its friend's aid to no avail, when the hero of our bizarre story, a goat, runs over to rescue its fellow farm resident with a charging block any NFL lineman would be proud of.
“I was so proud of the rooster and the goat jumping in to defend our chicken,” the farmer, Jaap Beets, told SWNS, per the New York Post. “I was also very relieved that the chicken survived.”
This isn't the first time his chickens have been attacked.
“In the seven years I have lived here, it’s the third attack on our chickens,” Beets added. “This was the second from a goshawk and the other was a buzzard.”
It's hard out there for a chick!
