This is the question posed by the first trailer for “Halloween Ends,” the final installment of David Gordon Green’s “Halloween” sequel trilogy. This film comes after 2021’s “Halloween Kills” and 2018’s “Halloween.”

In the fresh footage, John Carpenter’s legendary “Halloween” piano plinks soundtrack children trick or treating as heavy breathing is the only other sound heard. The labored breath coming fromm Michael Myers who is skulking around a home, viewpoint being his at the time. Then Michael opens a door and it’s Curtis’ Laurie Strode waiting with a pistol pointed right at him, “Come on, let’s go,” she says defiantly.

The two foes battle as they have so many times before, with Strode yelling at Myers, “Come get me motherf*****.” The trailer ends with Strode stabbing Myers in the hand, but certainly that’s just a taste of what the movie has in store.

The aforementioned Carpenter, who directed the original, genre-defining “Halloween” film and is executive producing this one, recently told Syfy Wire fans can expect something a little different this time around. “You’ll see it’s a departure from the others. It’s interesting. Dave (director David Gordon Green) is a really good director. I love working with him,” he said.

Back in February when shooting on “Halloween Ends” wrapped, Curtis took to her Instagram to tap out a “bittersweet” ode to her time as Laurie Strode.

“Halloween Ends” will hit theaters on October 14.
