With many looking towards the sky for travel convenience, at least one car company is still focused on creating vehicles that can handle all of Earth’s terrain; including water.

Jeep recently revealed plans for future cars that can drive completely underwater, and it could come sooner than most would expect.

There are already vehicles on the market that can handle some water, including the Jeep Wrangler Xtreme Recon that can drive through 33.6 inches of water, but Jeep is hoping to take things to the next level in the coming decade with cars that can drive while completely submerged.

"There is a little wink we have at the end, which is probably post-2030, but I know a lot of enthusiasts and a lot of our communities are requesting it," said Jeep CEO Christian Meunier.

According to Fox News, electric vehicles don't have air intakes or exhausts, allowing them to operate underwater without issue.

Many Jeep fans were excited by this news, hoping they get to drive underwater in the near future. While others risk going to space, Jeep owners will be cruising safely through the ocean.
