Following the news that Pop Punk couple MOD SUN and Avril Lavigne had called off their engagement 10 months into their relationship, MOD has finally broken his silence, saying although he's dealing with a broken heart, those surrounding him while on tour are keeping things a little brighter.

In an emotional Instagram post, MOD SUN shared that "In 1 week my entire life completely changed…I just know there’s a plan for it all. I’ll keep my head up + always listen to my heart, even when it feels broken," adding a broken heart emoji as punctuation.
However, he adds it's been the comfort of friends and fans while on the road that's been keeping his spirits up following his spilt from Avril. "Being surrounded by love every night on tour has been an absolute blessing. I have the best friends in the entire world, thanks for always having my back. See you on stage."

Although a source told People magazine last week that, “Avril and MOD SUN have been on and off for the past two months, but are no longer together as a couple,” MOD SUN's reps disagreed saying, “they were together and engaged as of three days ago when Mod left for tour so if anything has changed that's news to him.” The couple met in January 2021, and by March 2022 were engaged while on a trip to Paris.
No official reason has been given for the break-up, but speculation of a split started when TMZ published photos of Lavigne and her rapper pal Tyga hugging in a parking lot after dinner with friends.
