A new "Unsolved Mysteries" podcast is here, and it takes after the hit show with new mysteries for listeners to help solve.
Produced by RADIO.COM's Cadence13 alongside Cosgrove/Meurer Productions, the creators and producers of the Emmy-nominated series of the same name, the "Unsolved Mysteries" podcast dives deep into one specific mystery each episode.
Launching on February 17, "Unsolved Mysteries" Season One will cover unsolved crimes, missing persons, fugitives, mysterious creatures, and the paranormal.
Just like the TV series, the "Unsolved Mysteries" podcast will include a call-to-action in each episode, directing listeners to the "Unsolved Mysteries" website where they can provide clues that could help solve the mysteries.
Each episode will feature guests closely associated with the case, including family members, those affected, law enforcement, and forensics experts. They will also include people who have experienced paranormal activity.
The podcast features all of the things that made the television show such a hit - the original theme music, a narrator guiding listeners through each story, and interviews with individuals involved in the cases.
The show is narrated by Steve French, known for his work on the National Geographic Channel and promo materials for "The Mandalorian."
The hope for this podcast is that someone listening somewhere will have key information about how these mysteries came to be, leading experts to answers surrounding the mysteries.
"Unsolved Mysteries" is one of the longest-running shows in the history of television, premiering in 1987. Each episode of the show features the same call-to-action, hoping that viewers can help get answers to these unsolved mysteries.
“We are honored to collaborate with Cadence 13 to introduce 'Unsolved Mysteries' to the podcast world, and we are thrilled to reach a new audience of mystery solvers in this space,” said Terry Dunn Meurer, co-creator and executive producer, "Unsolved Mysteries," Cosgrove/Meurer Productions. “Our hope is always that these cases can be solved.”
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to partner with Cosgrove/Meurer to bring the pioneering and renowned 'Unsolved Mysteries' into the podcast space,” said Chris Corcoran, Chief Content Officer, Cadence13. “We’re proud to expand C13’s powerful lineup of premium offerings with this one-of-a-kind series.”
