This bright and sunny "tabin" is your next NorCal glamping destination

I headed southwest for a little getaway with my boyfriend this weekend to Pinnacles National Park, and the "tabin" we stayed in was adorable.

I call it a "tabin" because it was a tent-cabin hybrid located at the Pinnacles campground. These are structures on site that you can rent near the RV and camping sites at the park.

The tabin came with two adirondack chairs, a fan, space heater, and beds. It's a permanent structure lined with tent material, and it has windows and a door that locks. If you're driving your electric vehicle, you can plug your car in overnight.

The only downside about this tabin is that it has zero insulation, so it got pretty chilly at night. If you go in winter or spring, make sure you have plenty of blankets, socks, jackets, and anything else you need to stay warm. We ended up running two space heaters in addition to the one that came with the tabin.

I loved this experience because it was more of a glamping situation. There are real bathrooms with running water onsite, as well as showers. There's even a little convenience store that sells snacks, beverages, camping necessities, and outdoor items to make your stay feel more like home.

Pinnacles National Park is about three hours south of Sacramento, just past Hollister. Get camping info here.
