A new spot has opened on L Street in Midtown, Pressed Record Cafe opened this month with, of course, records, coffee, and sandwiches.
The concept from owners Dean Bardouka, Jon Blunck and James Williams combines a record store, coffee shop, and a reservations-only supper club. Bardouka spent years convincing Blunck (of San Francisco DJ collective Sweater Funk) to go in on the venture with him and the two found chef James Williams, who came over from the now shuttered Sacramento gourmet events business, Nomad.

Pressed is in the former Plates Midtown location at 1725 L Street and is open Wednesdays - Sundays, 10AM - 6PM.
