The 99th precinct is getting ready to shut its doors for good.

The upcoming eighth season of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" will be its final as NBC has revealed the show is coming to an end with the 2021-2022 broadcast season.

The final season will be 10 episodes and Andy Samberg, who plays Det. Jake Peralta, said he expects the cast to return to the set "fairly soon" to begin filming.

The show first premiered in the fall of 2013 and aired on FOX for 5 seasons before being canceled in 2018.

It was subsequently picked up by NBC for its remaining seasons.

By its end, the sitcom will have aired 153 episodes total, which executive producer Dan Goor said is exactly how many they planned on making from the start.

“Brooklyn Nine-Nine has been one of the jewels in our comedy crown. It’s had an incredible run across not one but two networks, garnered widespread acclaim and captured the hearts of fans all over the world,” Pearlena Igbokwe, Chairman, Universal Studio Group said in a statement, according to Deadline.

“We extend our deepest gratitude to Andy Samberg, Andre Braugher and our entire wonderful ensemble, and our amazingly talented writers, producers and crew. And a special thanks to our brilliant showrunner Dan Goor, who could have rested on his laurels after season one but never took his foot off the hilarious gas pedal. B99, it’s been Noice.”

While the show's season 7 finale aired in April 2020, the earliest the 8th and final season would be able to premiere is this fall.
