“Gatto Bianco by Fancy Feast” is described by Purina as a trattoria and “culinary experience” that “will bring the mealtime experience of cats to life.”

“The dishes (for humans!) take inspiration from Fancy Feast Medleys recipes and pay homage to traditional Italian cuisine,” Purina said.

The menu was developed by Fancy Feast's in-house chef Amanda Hassner and Michelin Star–winning chef and New York restaurateur Cesare Casella.

Gatto Bianco, Italian for “white cat,” will open somewhere “between the far West Village and the Meatpacking District” (a rendering suggests 632 Hudson St.) for a limited time on Aug. 11 and Aug. 12.

Online bookings will open Thursday at FancyFeast.com/Reservations, but only 16 diners will get a chance to indulge in the meal, as there’s a limit of four, two-person reservations for 6:30 p.m. each evening.

Diners who manage to land their paws on a seat will be treated to “authentic, Tuscan dishes” that “mirror the sensory experience of cats at mealtime.”

The “culinary exploration for cat lovers” includes “Tuscan-style spare ribs with rigatoni” and “Salmon in the style of osso buco with saffron risotto.”

“Food has the power to connect us to others in meaningful ways and take us to places we have never been,” Hassner said. “The same is true for our cats.”

“The dishes at Gatto Bianco are prepared in ways that help cat owners understand how their cats experience food—from flavor, to texture, to form—in a way that only Fancy Feast can,” she said.

Food isn't all diners are being treated to—they'll also have the fur-tune of meeting the Fancy Feast cat, who is scheduled to make a “special appearance.”
