Everyone knows you’re not supposed to say his name, but contestants on a recent episode of “Wheel of Fortune” had no choice if they wanted to take home the prize.
The beloved game show got into the Halloween spirit during Wednesday’s episode, but the puzzle under the “Movie Quote” category had Twitter panic-stricken.

It almost felt like the puzzle was a trap as it was the same word listed four times in a row.
A contestant by the name of Jordan took the plunge and correctly guessed: “CANDYMAN CANDYMAN CANDYMAN CANDYMAN.”
The hook-handed killer first made an appearance in 1992 and spawned a total of four films. The most recent installment titled “Candyman” hailing from Jordan Peele hit theaters this September.
Jordan’s puzzle-solving was met with applause during the live show, but the internet wasn’t as impressed.
As legend has it, the ghostly killer is summoned when someone says his name several times in a row while looking into a mirror.
“Oh you brave huh,” one Twitter user posted.
“They have a death wish,” another wrote.
“That is pure evil,” a third wrote, while another called the puzzle a “dangerous game.”
However, not everyone was alarmed.
One Twitter user pointed out that in order for it to be dangerous, they had to say the phrase five times, not four times.
“You see they didn’t put that fifth one in there!!” the user wrote.
Host Pat Sajak also pointed that out, but in doing so, he uttered the fifth “Candyman.”
“That, by the way, for those of you that don’t know is from a film called Candyman,” Sajak said. “And I said it a fifth time which means he appears isn’t that the way it works?” he questioned.
He then suggested: “Maybe he’s under the wheel.”
The official “Wheel of Fortune” Twitter account posted the clip with the caption: “That was fun but, uh—let's not do that again.”
Luckily for Jordan, instead of summoning the Candyman, he successfully summoned $40,610 in winnings.
Now that’s what you call a Happy Halloween.
