An NFT, or non-fungible token, is wholly unique pieces of digital media, making it different from other fungible cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, which are largely interchangeable.

The NFT sale of When You See Yourself offered three different kinds of tokens, including a so-called "golden ticket" that gives the buyer lifetime access to four front-row seats at a Kings of Leon show for each tour. Of the $2 million in sales, Kings of Leon are donating $600,000 to Crew Nation, which supports live music crew members affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

When You See Yourself, the follow-up to 2016's WALLS, was released last Friday. It includes the lead single "The Bandit."
