The Minnesota Vikings and star running back Dalvin Cook have ended their contract standoff and agreed to a five-year extension.
According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Media and seemingly confirmed by a tweet from the official Vikings account, the deal will be five years and worth $63 million.
The Vikings and Cook had been odds all offseason on a contract extension. There had been some concern that Cook would holdout over not getting an extension, but those fears were gone when he showed up to camp for the first day of practice.
Cook, 25, lead the Vikings in rushing with 1,135 yards and scored 13 touchdowns last season.
UPDATE: The Vikings have confirmed the deal.
